Today was a busy day, with a morning full of preparation for Oliver's birthday picnic. 15 of his friends (age between 2 and 10) descended on us around lunchtime for a 'picnic and play'. This precipitated the need for a second birthday cake and more candles, which was lovingly decorated in the hours leading up to everyones arrival.
Thankfully, the weather was brilliant, and everyone played together really nicely.
Once we got the house back in order, we watched some of the Olympics together. Nathan was especially interested in the cycling, having designed his very own velodrome at school. Also, his favourite sportsman, Mark Cavendish, was commentating so he was a very happy boy indeed!
